About us

Greene’s Jewellers is a family run Jewellery Shop, located at number 9 Aungier Street, in the heart of Dublin’s city centre.

The building itself is thought to be one of the earliest buildings in the Aungier Estate, Dublin’s first planned post-medieval housing development, pre-dating the construction of Georgian Dublin. Our little shop was opened in 1908 by our grandparents, George and Mary Anne Greene.

Our mother Stella, began working in the family business in 1942. Followed by our father Philip, in 1965. It was always a family affair.

We have earned a great reputation for our quality service and workmanship. Gaining us a loyal base of customers, who return time and time again. A large part of our business is bespoke and commission work. We work with you to make your ideas and desires materialise into beautiful pieces of heirloom jewellery.  Specialising in engagement and wedding rings, working closely with the client at each stage. Each piece meticulously made with care and precision in our workshop.

Although the shop is our main focus, we also have a very successful web based brand called “The Irish Jeweller”.
